Terms & acceptable use
Short version: this is for handing work to a client, not for running a website.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload. You are responsible for having the right to share it, and for anything it contains. We do not review uploads before they go live.
What you may not upload
- Phishing pages, fake sign-in forms, or anything impersonating another person or company
- Malware, or pages that exist to distribute it
- Material that is illegal where you or your recipients are, including any sexual content involving minors
- Content you do not hold the rights to share
- Anything intended to run as production infrastructure rather than to be looked at and then expire
We remove content that breaks these rules, without notice, and close the account behind it.
Privacy and secrecy of links
Links use long random addresses, are never listed anywhere, and are served with
X-Robots-Tag: noindex so search engines skip them. That keeps a link private in
practice, but it is not encryption and it is not access control: anyone who has
the address can open it. Do not use Filyhost for material that would be harmful if it
reached the wrong person.
We store the email address you verify, and for each link its name, size, expiry, and a count of visits. We do not sell anything to anyone.
Deletion
Every link has a lifetime you choose when you upload it, and deletes itself when that runs out. You can delete one sooner from Your links. Uploads whose email is never confirmed are deleted within 24 hours and are never publicly reachable in the meantime.
Availability
The service is provided as is, with no guarantee of uptime or of retention. Keep your own copy of anything you care about. We are not liable for loss arising from use of the service.
Reporting abuse
If a link hosted here is phishing, malware, or otherwise harmful, email abuse@filyhost.com with the full address. Reports are acted on quickly, and confirmed abuse is removed and the account closed.
